Yep, you are looking at them - the Phoenix Fugitives.  If one opens a door the other goes out and the chase is on, sometimes for what seems like hours.  By the way Sophie can open doors almost as well as people.  Most of the neighbors are getting to know them, and they'll join in with the chase, but lately Sophie has taken to growling and scaring  kids like she plays with like she plays with Natalie and Noelle.  Noelle's isn't as tall as Sophie but she walks right under Soph's head pulling on her jowls and squealing - she is so cute.  Natalie just screams and goes in my bedroom and shuts Sophie out. Smart girl.  Anyway, Sophie's happy as can be running with her tongue hanging out and her ears flying.  I could say the same about Zach but that's just because I'm mad at him right now.  I went out and bought a two key lock to keep these two fugitives locked in - but Zach ruined the original lock and the first new lock I bought by mixing the parts up so no one could separate or replace them, and now I have a nice big hole in the door where the lock should be.  It would be so nice to lock the door and have a little peace and quiet and not worry about the dog running away and Zach taking the car for a spin.  However, the lock wasn't in two hours before Zach snatched the keys, hid them and now we cannot  find them.  Update:  I found them behind the Christmas tree in the closet!


I did what I always do - I sit down and cry and then call Matt and/or Robbie to come rescue me.  Matt came to my rescue this time after working a 12 hour day.  He told me to go get another lock and he'd be here after work to put it in.  I gathered the remains of the previous two locks and made my 5th trip to Home Depot where they kindly gave me a refund for the lock I had just bought, and I bought a new double key Schlage thinking I could protect Sophie from the Dog Pound or getting run over by some passing car, and Zach from getting lost - or my running over him - just kidding! However it wasn't an hour before Zach had grabbed the new keys and lost them, and now i'm back where I started from.  I'm trying to stay calm but it isn't easy.  It's been two days and I still haven't found the missing keys.
